A former IBM worker has accused the agency of firing him as a result of he was not a younger millennial.

John Langley has launched a courtroom battle to get his job again and is searching for damages for age discrimination.

The Texan claims he was laid off final 12 months as a part of an organization drive to rent youthful employees and ditch older staff that it branded ‘outdated heads’.

The gross sales and advertising govt had labored on the firm since 1993.

Regardless of Langley’s efficiency incomes him a £15,000 bonus in 2017, he was advised later that 12 months after a employees overview that he was being laid off.

His attorneys argue the dismissal was a part of a concerted marketing campaign at IBM to ‘de-age’ its workforce and rent millennials – the era of younger individuals who reached maturity within the early twenty first century.

A spokesman for IBM stated it denied the claims and would vigorously oppose the lawsuit.
